READING letters, Sunday 14/4, Alec Jones makes a very valid point re Newcastle’s non relegation. Then alongside I see Exeter is pilfering Jimmy Roots from Ealing Trailfinders. It is my opinion that there should be promotion from the championship and those teams need to keep their talent, so that they have the best chance in the Premiership. Yes I know its a ground capacity/facilities/ financial argument, but surely a softening of those rules would benefit all.
