WITH four games to go it looks like Newcastle might go down but, I forgot there is no relegation for losing every match in the season. So Newcastle will probably lose their best players to the other nine clubs and lose all their games again next season but by more points and in front of fewer spectators.
The alternative, common sense approach as practised by every sporting league in the world, is for the bottom club to be relegated, given the chance to rebuild and climb back up again. The 1,400 English community clubs accept this principal, why doesn’t the Premiership?
