CHRIS Hewett’s article bemoaning the size of French players offered what I believe to be the correct solution to the future of professional rugby, namely, the banning of all tactical substitutions.
He also rightly pointed out that coaches would find a way to cheat that system. However, if World Rugby also decreed that any player taken off the field for any injury, automatically faces a two or three week stand down period, that would help ease that problem.
