Sorry Chris, but we’re heading up another cul-de-sac

I KNOW it has been the season of goodwill, but Chris Hewett’s comment that the RFU is pointing in the right direction with its plans for England’s second tier shows agenerosity of spirit that is undeserved.
Even if true, which is debatable, the change of direction is only because the governing body has been driving the Championship up a dead end for so long that they now have no option but to reverse.
