We need action to halt decline in numbers

THE figures below are from this month. Along with the three attached papers, they help to explain why England fail to make full use of their massive playing resources. That applies whether or not England win the present World Cup.
League stats (Oct 14)
Nat 2 North, three Yorkshire derbies, biggest gate in those games, 397; average gate, 284.
Nat 2 East, one Kent derby and two other matches involving Kent clubs: average gate 387.
