IN HIS column last week Chris Hewett suggested imposing a weight limit on teams to restore a game for all shapes and sizes. I can’t see that ever being a realistic prospect.
He did, however, suggest a ban on tactical substitutions which should be introduced.
He identified a potential problem in coaches getting players to feign injury. But that could be addressed by imposing an automatic three or four week stand down for any player removed from play because of injury, no matter what the injury is.
