THE HUGELY flawed Nations Championship masterplan now scheduled for 2026 is little more than surrendering to commercialism torpedoing World Rugby’s oft quoted ‘player welfare’ claims.
World Rugby should cut the Test treadmill rather than severely undermining thehugely successful World Cup. And more importantly make law changes to end the unacceptable injuries crisis threatening rugby’s future.
Test rugby and tours as shown by the huge success of the Lions tours and Ireland’s recent 2-1 series win in New Zealand remain rugby’s gold standard.
