Bar takings are key for clubs to make money

RUGBY clubs’ biggest source of income is bar sales, which are dependent on matches being played. So why over the years at level four and below have the RFU reduced the number of fixtures now to 22 league matches only 11 at home? Fortunately my club are still running a second team.
We used to start September 1 to April 30. Missing only Chistmas that meant playing 35 matches per season whilst at that time most clubs had 3/4 teams so bar income was every Saturday and players stopped for a while.
