I’VE followed Ireland for some time now and I have seen a massive growth in technique, skill set and depth like never before.
‘Quarter-final curse’, ‘peaking too soon’ and other statements do not have the same bite as they did. Ireland under Andy Farrell take each game at a time and now expect themselves to win well and not be the lucky underdogs. Many players on the field played in the last World Cup which I think will add a dynamic level, as shown with Peter O’Mahony’s return to New Zealand during the summer Tests.
