I DISAGREE with your correspondents Derek Gilbert and Jeff Gage in last week’s paper regarding regionalised teams and ring-fencing.
Having attended away games in European competitions at the Liberty Stadium, the Arms Park and Parcy Scarlets, I have seen how poor the attendances are.
In Cardiff and Swansea this may be in part because of competition from local football teams but that doesn’t apply in Llanelli. In Wales the focus has been on the national side to the detriment of the regions – why would we want to follow that in England?
