Slade was clearly ball first, then player

In the clear: Slade’s red card was rescinded

ON a weekend of a number of red cards, I write this on the evening of Saturday. Jan 14, and in the forthcoming week, if I don’t see Henry Slade’s red card overturned during the following week, then I’ll lose what little remaining faith I have in the entirety of rugby refereeing.
A clearer case of ball first, player after, you could not wish to see. I’d be interested to hear from the powers that be how they defend that particular piece of officiating.
