FOLLOWING the sacking of England head coach Eddie Jones at the start of this week a number of respected people involved in the sport have said that the timing was wrong and that he is the best coach to get you a result in the World Cup.
My thoughts are just the opposite. I see that the lifting of the overpowering burden of an Eddie Jones team expected by right to be in the running will have been removed.
I believe that an England team without that unnecessary extra pressure will perform better and that a World Cup final appearance is much more a reality without Jones than with him.
