THERE has been much chatter on social media as to why Marcus Smith booted the ball out of play in the England v NZ match at Twickenham with the scores locked at 25-25 and when England still had a chance to try and get up field and get a winning score.
Personally, I think Smith, below, used the right tactic when you bear in mind that the clock had gone red and a most creditable and honourable draw was at least secured after England had bravely fought back in the last 20 minutes from 25-6 down.
Imagine the alternative scenario where England run that particular ball, NZ jackal it, win ...
