IT is now time rugby union stopped turning a Nelsonian blind eye to the game’s unacceptable injury crisis.
In last week’s TRP, Professor John Fairclough provided a damning indictment of World Rugby’s player welfare platitudes detailing how concussed players are still being returned to play.
But while putting out a fire effectively should be a major priority, is it not better to prevent the blaze occurring in the first place?
