Brendan’s right, it’s ring-fence’s fault

BRENDAN Gallagher’s article last week headed ‘Stress-free Premiership muddles the mind’ should make the RFU sit up and take notice referring to England’s decision to kick for the corner rather than take the points at Murrayfield.
The point Brendan made was that Premiership ring-fencing has created a situation in which there are now no consequences – such as being relegated – to making similarly poor decisions in league matches.
