Jones fails subs test at Murrayfield

ALL the great teams have a manager who gets his off-field decision-making correct, from long-term strategic planning and tactics to team selection and appropriate deployment of substitutes.
Eddie Jones is not such a manager, and England will not progress under his tenure. They are now lagging by two years and their development is being stifled by his failure to get rid of the old guard, and his scattergun approach to squad selection.
One of the reasons they lost the Calcutta Cup match was that momentum was lost with the substitutions of Marcus Smith and Kyle Sinkler.
