COLIN Boag’s article calling for the professional and amateur games to be split, sights the gulf in ability, concussion and the hit on club finances due to the pandemic as some of his key justifications.
Boag has long been an advocate of the ringfencing of the Premiership and sees this as a game saver for the Premiership and in turn the national side.
I have to give credit to Boag for his endurance with this drum he beats, but respond by saying, has history not taught him and us that squeezing, cutting and/or reducing very rarely, if ever leads to success or saving, but more so ...
