MORNE Steyn celebrated his recall to the squad with a faultless kicking performance to help book Bulls' place in next week's Rainbow Cup against Benetton.

The 37-year-old converted all four tries and struck two penalties after the Bulls absorbed early pressure to take control.

After No.8 Phepsi Buthelezi and flanker Thembelani Bholi caused early problems, the Sharks got their first try through JJ van der Mescht's close range score. Cornal Hendricks hit back on the half-hour with Steyn adding to two earlier penalties with a conversion.

Bulls full-back David Kriel exchanged tries with Siya Kolisi after the interval, before two tries in six minutes from Bulls duo Stravino Jacobs and Janko Swanepoel made the game safe.

Benetton make the final after being awarded four points for yesterday's cancelled match against the Covid-hit .
