GRIQUAS edged past the Pumas 23-22 in an ill-disciplined clash in Kimberley.
While they had boasted much of the possession and occupied the Pumas half for long period, the Griquas could not find their way through until the 26th minute when Tinus de Beer slotted a penalty.
The hosts resorted to their kicking game to unlock the defence of their opponents and it worked a charm as Daniel Kasende was able to gather an upand-under by Cameron Lindsay to dot down.
