Separate and adopt some American Football principles

LAST week’s article by Nick Cain and the letter from John Allanson shows why there needs to be complete separation between the community and professional levels.
Too many community clubs are risking all to move up the ladder, often using local business people’s cash to do so, and when that goes the community is left without a club. The professional game is also being ruined by clubs with deep pockets, the marquee rule being an absolute waste of time.
