Ido hate to be a the one to spoil the party but I really cannot for the life of me understand why Eddie Jones saw last week’s game against Georgia as a success. Once again there seemed like there was little or no direction in the game. Apart from a few moments of real incisive attacking play, the team relied on penalties followed by lineouts with a catch and drive.
The only area where England did shine was in the ability to garner penalties (mainly at the scrum) from Nigel Owens who probably had one of his worst games at that set piece.
