Sweeney: Six Nations may not go to pay-tv

BILL SWEENEY says much of the £44m the RFU will receive from the government’s £135m survival package for Rugby Union will go to the community clubs.
In total, Rugby Union will receive £135m, with Premiership Rugby clubs expected to get £59m, Championship clubs £9m and community clubs £23m direct from the government.

By comparison, English Rugby League as a whole is set to get £12m.
