I AM not a Saracens supporter but I do feel that I have to respond to Neville Wheelan’s letter.
I remember being most upset last year when Eddie Jones hinted that if Leicester were relegated he might still consider using their players.
If that had happened a precedent would have been set that I didn’t like. If Leicester had been relegated it would be because their players were not up to the mark.
Saracens have been relegated because of dealings in the accounts department not because the players were below par.
As I understand it the RFU said these were exceptional circumstances....
