HOW disappointing to see inconsistent refereeing in the Premiership compared to Rugby Aeoteora and the Aussie competition whose refs were very strict.
A few examples of non-application in Premiership: offside at kick off and mauls, 9s not playing the ball immediately at the ruck, the occasional ‘clear out’ at the ruck not penalised, crooked lineouts, tackle area not penalised enough.
What is so difficult about applying the laws?
