I’VE been enjoying Brendan Gallagher’s current features on rugby’s great schools but there has been one glaring omission so far - the almost all-conquering teams in the 1970s, of St Brendans College, Bristol.
Under the expert coaching of the Welsh rugby master, Elwyn Price, the school had many years of dominance. Not just in the West Country but nationally, in 15s and 7s, and produced a string of excellent players who went on to play for Bristol, Bath and England.
