IT IS undeniable that Eddie Jones deserves all the plaudits for the way England outplayed New Zealand in the World Cup semi-final - and his Kiwi defence coach, John Mitchell, added to them.
Mitchell, a former All Black No.8, praised Jones as “the smartest coach I have come across tactically” on ‘The Ruck’ podcast.
Mitchell said Jones’ analysis of New Zealand identified that they had become predictable in attack, adding: “So, we identified where that predictability was and we went and got them.”
