Supporters should get a say in new calendar

IN the debate about achieving a global season for the game I have missed any reference to consultation with the supporters, if indeed any has taken place.
For many of us who go to rugby matches regularly, and who have been doing so for a significant period, the summer months are for cricket (or for some benighted souls, tennis) and the winter is for rugby.
County cricket clubs are in a parlous financial situation and running the rugby season into July is going to significantly impact on cricket attendances when people have to choose which sport to watch.
