AS A solicitor representing people in the Magistrates Court, I know how much fairer it is having guideline sentences for particular offences rather than trying to judge each case separately with no reference to other cases. If you judge each case separately there is far more scope for bias.
Logically illegal tackles should come with a low starting point as tackling is an essential part of the proper game and you are only punishing players who have carried out the tackle incorrectly.
