TO THE letter published last week from junior referee Nick Loone, highlighting discrepancies in law enforcement, can I add a couple.
First, hookers not throwing from in front of the touch judge, instead edging a step or two towards their own line of forwards; penalty kicks (to touch) almost always without fail taken from well in front of the mark; defenders tracking back slowly and deliberately blocking opposition from chasing high kicks; try scorers having defenders, with no chance of positive intervention, drop onto them.
