I READ with interest and certain amusement Colin Boag’s piece in last week’s Rugby Paper.
In his seventh paragraph he writes: “Maybe what we also need is a generation shift in the ranks of commentators and pundits, bringing in some who don’t remember the bad old days…”
Only two paragraphs later, he writes: “I liked the days when referees rigidly enforced the policy that only the captain could initiate a conversation…”
Interesting “cake and eat it stuff”.
