Nonsense to give pro clubs more power

I UNDERTAKE voluntary work in the senior county championship and schools representative rugby.
I echo Ian Lewis’ concerns (TRP May 12) about lopsided senior championship matches but he is wrong to say, “junior representative rugby is a waste of time and money”.
We know that money has to be saved but why does the amateur game have to pay for the failings of the professional arm of the game? Now the RFU wishes to give the professional clubs all authority over junior representative rugby. That is nonsense.
The professional clubs are interested in the top 5% for their academie...
