REGARDING the debate about ring-fencing proposals, I believe they should go the NFL route and increase the Premiership to 16 clubs split into four groups of four.
It would make a regular season of 22 games made up of home and away fixtures against teams in your group (6), plus 18 games against a mix of the remaining 12 clubs.
Play-offs continue post regular season involving top six teams once per cycle. Promotion open once per three-year cycle.
