Premiership’s war of attrition has led to failure in Europe

AS the Champions Cup reaches the conclusion of its pool stage we have again, with the exception of Saracens, seen teams from the Premiership failing in Europe’s premier competition.
Since the English dominance of 2015/16, when the Premiership provided three of the four semi- finalists, we have seen only Saracens truly make the cut.
The English failure has been down to several reasons; some have a quick fix but others need a long term policy to improve our clubs’ chances in Europe.
