GREAT letter from Chris Taylor last week, proposing a “Community Game Arrangement” to provide central funding to clubs according to what they’re putting into the game – rather than taking out! Jeff Probyn also made some good points in his piece, referring to the preferential treatment given to the Premiership at the expense of the rest of the game as being at the root of the Union’s woes, and describing the game as having morphed into a business that uses the amateur sport to generate funds to pay the inflated wages of the professional game.
