PETER Jackson refers to the birth place of players who play for international teams but in the case of the UK this is not straightforward.
Those carrying a UK passport are nationals of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, not of the different parts of the UK. There are separate national rugby teams but it is like Queensland or New South Wales touring instead of Australia.
The situation is made more complicated by players from Northern Ireland playing in an all-Ireland team.
