REGARDING Colin Boag’s comment on the Haka – I have waited a decade to see in newsprint someone who agrees with my view.
As a female volunteer and a supporter of over six decades I have watched the Haka evolve from its traditional Maori roots, which supporters enjoyed, to its current form which, by Kieran Read’s admission, is more about All Blacks team cohesion.
In this professional era, which can be all about ‘the top two inches’ and mental strength, this can be an unfair last minute advantage.
