I WAS rather surprised to read Brendan Gallagher’s verdict on the Owen Farrell tackle.
He describes it as a ‘massive high speed collision’. That is not then a tackle, it is two people running into each other.
Farrell led with his shoulder into Andre Esterhuizen. If you lead with your shoulder into a tackle, how do you manage to wrap your arms around the other player?
