THE WRU announced a record turnover of £97m which would be impressive if it were not for the fact that they intend to cut the funding for the Welsh Premiership clubs from £90k each to £50k per year.
Rather than support the traditional backbone of Welsh rugby, the money saved will be invested in yet another Mickey Mouse competition, a regional U23 league which will be lucky to attract any supporters outside the players’ families and coaches....
