I AGREE with Nick Cain’s call for the return of the ruck. As alluded to in his column, it would create a safer game with less head-on tackling.
A proper ruck with players driving over the ball would give the game a better fluidity with the ball instantly presented to the scrumhalf which would give the outside backs more space, creating a more exciting spectacle. Revive the ruck!
