Don’t forget Fylde’s great contribution to North West rugby

WHILE Brendan has to be applauded for his article about Rugby Union in the North last week, I feel I feel I should draw your attention to the fact that Fylde are the leading club in the North West after Sale Sharks and have been for many years, (not the recently promoted Caldy RUFC).
We have held our position in National 1 since 2010/11, without a ‘sugar daddy’, just a group of hard working members who love their rugby.
We can boast a host of famous home grown players: Bill Beaumont, not only a legend at our club but in world rugby.
