Telfer’s chip will wear him down

I WAS very saddened to read Jim Telfer’s recent remarks about the English and playing at Twickenham ‘concrete jungle’.
For a figure so revered in the past to come out with such juvenile drivel is a great shame, doing him and the game a profound disservice.
I can only assume he thinks this nonsense contributes to the prematch jockeying for position, but chips on shoulders eventually wear down the carrier.
