WHILE I feel a huge amount of sympathy for London Welsh players and staff, I still cannot believe that the second tier of English rugby, as near as damn it professional, must play out almost half a season a team short.
It makes a complete mockery of the league standings. I wouldn’t expect this to happen in any of the National Leagues, let alone within a league that is responsible for producing a team worthy of challenging the best in the country.
