Crake & Feaunati receive Red Rose contracts

PROP Liz Crake and flanker Maddie Feaunati have been rewarded for their fine performances this season with full-time contracts for 2024-25.

Of the 32 players who have been awarded contracts, 29 featured in the Red Roses' Grand Slam-winning triumph in April.

Saracens No.8 Poppy Cleall, who has 65 caps, drops out of the squad, as does 's Amber Reed and Gloucester-Hartpury's Emma Sing.

“This Red Roses group is extremely competitive,” said Charlie Hayter, England's head of women's performance.

“Everyone involved in the programme is dedicated to the journey that lies ahead, striving towards a common purpose of growing the game in this country and to contest the right to be successful at next year's home .”

Transition contracts have been offered to eight players including Mia Venner, 22, who, aged 17, was the youngest player to win a Roses cap.

England next play against (September 7) and New Zealand (September 14), before heading to (September 27 – October 13) to defend their WXV1 title.
