NICK Walshe has become the second coaching casualty of the Greene King Championship season.
Walshe joins another ex- England scrum-half, Martyn Wood, who was fired by Yorkshire Carnegie over Christmas, in losing his job.
He appears to have paid the price for Coventry’s shock 19-17 defeat to parttime Ampthill, even though other results appear in line with expectations.
Walshe joined Coventry in 2016 having steered England U20s to back-to-back Junior World Cup titles as head coach in 2013 and 2014 and helped them win the National One title.
