World Rugby must sort out danger at the breakdown

I’M VERY interested to see how World Rugby’s latest trial laws will go, but my view is our game continues to ignore the biggest problem area – the breakdown.
These days the contest for the ball is like the Wild West. There are bodies flying everywhere and players force themselves in to rucks at a ferocious pace. It is just so dangerous.
Looking after the stars of our game – the players – is vitally important and rugby must continue to explore ways to protect their welfare. Without the players there is no game or product to sell.
