Bristol lure Anscombe with £500k contract

BRISTOL are waving the largest cheque book in the Premiership at Gareth Anscombe in a move that could jeopardise his presence at the World Cup.
The Bears are in talks aimed at signing Wales’ goalkicking Grand Slammer in a deal that could catapult him into the £500,000-a-year bracket but leave him counting the cost of automatic exile from the international arena.
Anscombe has a major decision to make over his future, whether to stay in Cardiff and renew his Blues contract which runs out at the end of the season or opt for one of several Premiership offers.
