‘End HIA to curb brain injuries’

WORLD Rugby is being urged to eliminate the danger of ‘brain damaged’ players being sent back into action after medical attention.
Dr Barry O’Driscoll is calling for the Head Injury Assessment, the pitch side procedure known as HIA, to be scrapped, removing the risk of players suspected of concussion being cleared to continue.
