Following speculations yesterday, confirmed that Richard Hill will be leaving his post as head coach with immediate effect.
Hill will be replaced next season by Dean Ryan, who has been appointed Director of Rugby today.
Ryan, 46, who spent four successful years with from 2005 to 2009, will begin his role as Director of Rugby following the final game of the season against .
The former No.8 was part of the coaching team during this year’s where he helped to steer the side to back-to-back victories for the first time in 12 years on their way to their highest finish for seven years.
Former England international Hill has been in charge of the Warriors for the last three seasons and led the club to to the Aviva in 2011.
However, following the club’s recent run of form, Bill Bolsover CBE, the club’s chairman of its Rugby Committee, has announced that Hill will leave the club.
The existing coaching team and the club’s Rugby Operations Director Corin Palmer will now take charge of senior team matters for the last two league games of the season against and London Welsh.
Bolsover said: “Richard was brought into Warriors to get us promoted back to the Premiership, which he successfully achieved.
“We then wanted to consolidate our position amongst the elite before breaking out of the bottom four. Despite all his hard work, effort, attention to detail and honesty, we have not continued the forward momentum.
“On behalf of everyone at Worcester Warriors, I would like to put on record our thanks and appreciation to Richard and we wish him well for the future.”
