Scotland international Nikki Walker has been released early from his contract with Warriors and will move to next season.
The 31-year-old winger joined the side from the last summer and has so far made 13 appearances for four tries.
Walker is the eight player to announce his departure from Sixways with Matt Kvesic (), Andy Goode, Joe Carlisle, Matt Mullan (all Wasps), Errie Claassens, Andy Short (both ) and Blair Cowan () also leaving the club.
Worcester Head Coach Richard Hill said: “Nikki retains strong international aspirations and has been a part of the set-up during the current campaign. His move to Edinburgh should help his ambitions to play for his country once again and he will leave us at the end of the season with our best wishes.”
Nikki Walker said: “I have enjoyed my time in Worcester but an opportunity has arisen for my family and I to return home to Scotland.  This opportunity was too big for us to turn down.
“I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time playing outside of Scotland but I’ve always had a burning desire to return north, so when the opportunity came to sign for Edinburgh I grabbed it with both hands.
“Personally, as a winger, I’m looking forward to joining up with some of the championship’s most dangerous play-makers and finishers. I can’t wait for next season to start.”
