London Wasps have secured their place in the Amlin Challenge Cup quarter-finals with a narrow 20-19 win over the Newport-Gwent Dragons at Rodney Parade last night.
The Welsh side took a 10-3 lead after 25 minutes when fly-half Dan Evans crossed the line but two penalties from Nick Robinson and a penalty try for Wasps against a penalty from Tom Prydie saw the score level at 13-13.
The Welsh full-back added a penalty but, with Toby Faletau in the bin soon after, Robinson scored a try to go four points clear just before the hour mark.
Replacement Steffan Jones made it a one-point game with five minutes to go but the Men in Black held on to secure the win and almost assure them of a home quarter-final against the third best second from the Heineken Cup.
